When You’re Stuck on the Homework…

Because “I didn’t get it...” isn’t a good enough reason for blank answers!

·         Re-read the directions and the problem.  Still don’t get it?  Read it a total of three times.

·         Look at your notes!  The examples we do in class are similar to the problems we do for homework.  This is why we take notes to begin with!

·         Look in the book. 

o   Even if you don’t know what section we’re studying that day, you can always look in the INDEX to find what we’re studying.  (Adding fractions?  Lowest Common Multiple?  Prime Factorization?  The topics we study in class are ALL in there!)

·         Call a friend.

·         Ask an older sibling.

·         Lastly, ask a family member to help you.

·         Still don’t get it?  After you’ve clearly tried three times, your parent may sign the specific problem.
